Kampi Pa Emër is Albania's Summer Camp with No Name.

Ethnic Albanians and Roma.  Camp can teach more than arts & crafts.

About Us

Kampi Pa Emër is a summer camp in Librazhd, Albania open to boys and girls from the area’s Albanian and Roma communities. Our mission is to engender tolerance and personal growth in all campers and their families regardless of ethnicity.

Our Work

In 2008, Peace Corps Volunteer Joey Deschenes and his fiancé Alba had an idea that an American-style summer camp could bring together Albanian and Roma kids to play together, despite the powerful stereotypes that divide them.

Not only did the first camp change attitudes, but the fun factor spread by word of mouth with more kids and families looking to sign up.  Every year since, Kampi Pa Emer has grow to welcome more kids, ready to sing, play, swim and build - all in a space where skin color just doesn't matter.
